Why I, An Asian Man, Fight Anti-Black Racism

I’m often asked why I’ve focused so much more on anti-black racism than on Asians over the years. Some suggest I suffer from internalized racism.
That might well be true, since who doesn’t suffer from internalized racism? I mean, even white people internalize racism. The difference is that white people’s internalized racism is against people of color, and it’s backed up by those who control societal institutions and capital.

white male prison nurse boasted about naked calendar, grabbed inmate’s bottom and flashed him in his cell
Nurse Mark Bint, 27, is accused of flashing an inmate at a prison where he worked
A prison nurse boasted to inmates about appearing naked in a rugby club calendar and flashed a prisoner in his cell, a Nursing and Midwifery Council hearing into sexual misconduct allegations was told today.
Nurse Mark Bint, 27, allegedly went into a prisoner’s room and used his toilet – exposing his genitals to the inmate.
He is also accused of subjecting prisoners to bawdy stories about a black friend he nicknamed ‘Teabag’ because he was well-endowed.
The Nursing and Midwifery Council hearing was told Bint then warned one inmate at Brixton Prison: ‘Anything I say to you, don’t say to the officers,’ after grabbing his bottom.
Prisoner Jason Jordan, 35, told the panel he and Bint would often sit and talk about his problems – but the chats soon descended into smut.
Jordan, who gave live evidence while on day release from Stanford Hill open prison in Kent, said: ‘He started talking about his life, about how he had been in Iraq and had just got back.
‘He told me he had joined a rugby team, and that they had taken nudist pictures with rugby balls covering their genitals.

‘I just though why do I want to know about that?’
Bint also joked about a black friend he had nicknamed ‘Teabag’ and gave a graphic description of a bizarre sex act which he dubbed his ‘party trick’, he added.
Jordan is currently serving ten years in prison after being caught with four and half ounces of heroin, but at the time was waiting to be sentenced at Brixton, the panel heard.
He reported Bint to prison officers, but his lewd comments continued, claimed Jordan.
‘He came up to me and asked me what I had underneath my trousers, and that he had heard I was well hung,’ he said.

‘I didn’t know what to say, so I just moved back over to the hot plate that I was cleaning.’
Bint is also accused of entering an inmates’ shower room at HMP Brixton between September 2009 and November 2009 and of chatting with a prisoner while he was showering.
It is alleged he then followed the inmate from the shower block to his cell and grabbed his bottom.
Bint denies all the charges against him. If he is found guilty of misconduct he could be struck off.
The hearing continues.

white female teacher, 29, jailed for having sex with a boy, 15, after he identified a tattoo by her privates
Teacher Rhonda Michelle Ford, 29, was arrested after she allegedly had sex with a boy, 15, 10 times, had oral sex with him on multiple occasions and gave three underage teens beer as a gift. The boy told police he could ID a tattoo on her pelvic area that would be hidden by her underpants
A teacher has been jailed after a 15-year-old boy was able to prove he was having sex with her by identifying a tattoo on her body.
Police in Oklahoma said the teen was able to describe a tattoo on Rhonda Michelle Ford’s pelvic area which is low enough to be hidden by her underwear.
The 29-year-old contract teacher was arrested at her home in Clayton, Oklahoma, following a two month investigation.
An affidavit filed in Pushmataha County revealed that Ford is alleged to have become involved with the boy shortly after Valentine’s Day.
The student told detectives he and Ford kissed and had a sexual encounter that involved the touching of genitals.
He said the following day he went to Ford’s home where they had sex.
The teen said they had sex on at least ten occasions in the following months as well as performing oral sex on each other.
The boy told authorities that because of the sexual relationship, he could identify a tattoo on Ford’s pelvic area, which is low enough to be hidden by panties.
The charging document also alleges Ford provided alcohol to three students at her residence in March.
The three students, two boys and a girl, admitted to helping Ford move into her new house and afterward Ford bought them a 30-pack of beer, the affidavit says.
Ms Ford is a contract teacher and taught at Oklahoma’s Cleveland high school from 2009-2010 before moving to Clayton Public Schools. It is not clear how she met the victim
The students told investigators Ford then fixed herself a cocktail — pineapple juice and Malibu rum — and provided one to one of the students, the affidavit says.
Ford has since resigned from Clayton Public Schools.
From 2009-2010 she was a teacher at Cleveland High School in Oklahoma.
She has been charged with lewd or indecent acts with a child under the age of 16, second-degree rape, sodomy and permitting children under 21 to possess or consume alcohol.
Ford, who has since resigned from Clayton Public School District, is being held in Pushmataha County.

police use stun gun on pregnant black mother after scuffle inside her own home

A Florida woman who is eight months pregnant with her 16th child says that she is a victim of police brutality after officers used a Taser stun-gun on her.
Thirty-nine-year-old Angel Adams has been charged with battery on a law enforcement officer after Tampa police came to her home to speak to one of her sons.
A scuffle broke out inside Adams’ house, during which she says a male police officer repeatedly Tasered her endangering her life and the life of her unborn child.
The incident occurred last week when the police arrived at her Gray Street, Tampa home to speak to one of her sons about throwing rocks according to Tampa Bay Online.
Adams alleges that the two officers, one man and one woman, forced their way into her home.
‘I told officers, ‘Don’t come in my house. You don’t have a search warrant.’
‘And then he pushed me out the way over here like this (up against the wall).’
A struggle then occurred in which Adam’s 21-year-old daughter also called Angel fought with the police.

It is then that the mother of 15 alleges that she ran into her own room during the fight and was followed by the female police officer who grabbed her and threw her onto the bed.
‘She pulled me from the closet, she slammed me over my bed,’ said Adams.
‘I felt something go shooting through me and the male officer was Tasering me.’

However, the police in Tampa have a different account of what happened in the house.
‘The officer (female) was at the door, went in to talk to the kid, and at that point, he physically punched the officer, so at that point now we have a struggle,’ said Tampa police spokesman Andrea Davis.
‘While the (male officer) was struggling with that kid, the pregnant suspect and her daughter were fighting with (the female) officer.’
The spokesman then said that Adams and her daughter took the female officer out of the home, leaving the male officer on his own in the house with four other people.

‘Her actions, that’s what determined these results,’ said Davis.
‘And it’s incredibly concerning that someone would put themselves and their unborn child at risk.’

‘The bottom line with the situation is this mother chose to put her unborn child at risk,’ said Tampa Police spokesman Laura McElroy to WFTS.
‘And she made that choice long before the officer the backup officer utilised his ECD from behind not knowing she was pregnant.’
The elder Adams was released on $2,500 bail and her daughter on $1,000 bail.
This is not the first time that Adams has had a brush with the law and infamy.

Two years ago, the mother of 15 first made headlines when she was evicted from her apartment and had to move into a tiny motel room with 12 of her 15 children.
Blaming the system for her problems, she angered people when she demanded that, ‘Somebody needs to pay for all this.’
After having to legally prove her fitness as a mother, Adams received the support of the Department of Children and Families and moved into a six bedroom-home big enough for her family.

8 members of racist skinhead group arrested for hate crimes and paramilitary weapons training
Local police and federal authorities in Florida have arrested eight members of a white supremacist group, including three leaders, on hate crime and conspiracy, according to police.
Three of the people arrested, Marcus Faella, his wife Patricia Faella, and Mark McGowan, are leaders of the local American Front organization. The rest are low-ranking members.
McGowan, 29, and his wife Jennifer, 25, are also accused of giving paramilitary weapons training, knowing the new skills were likely to be used to fight the government, authorities say.

Take up arms: Mark McGowan, 29, also a leader of the group, and his wife Jennifer, 25, are both charged with offering illegal paramilitary training
The arrests over the weekend were the second wave of busts in a major FBI investigation of white supremacist groups in central Florida, the Southern Poverty Law Center reported.
The other three arrested over the weekend were: Diane Stevens, 28, Kent McLellan, 22, and Paul Jackson, 25.
Christopher Brooks, 27, an ex-con was arrested Monday. Police are also searching for his friend, Richard ‘Swamp Nazi’ Stockdale.
All of them belong to American Front in St Cloud, Florida, an organization that bills its mission as ‘religious and cultural preservation of the European people,’ according to the Orlando Sentinel.
But the Anti-Defamation league calls American Front ‘a racist skinhead group’ that has long been involved in violent crimes against Jews, immigrants and other minorities.

Prosecutors took it even farther, saying it is a ‘domestic terror group.’
All of the members were charged with committing a hate crime and criminal conspiracy.
The two leaders, Marcus and Patricia Faella, age 39 and 36, were released Friday after posting $1 million bail.
Marcus Faella has a long history in white supremacist groups in Florida. In the early 1990s, he was a member of another racist group, the Confederate Hammerskins, and was the head of the chapter in Melbourne, Florida.
In March, authorities arrested six people in Orlando who were members of the Outlaws Motorcycle Club and the 1st SS Kavallerie Brigade Motorcycle Division, also a white supremacist group.
Police say those six people were plotting to blow up buildings and attack their enemies.
Authorities told the Southern Poverty Law Center, which tracks hate groups, that the March arrests and the bust this weekend are linked to the same investigation.
