He has been investigated by police 40 times; has been accused of battery, car theft, boarding a plane with a loaded gun, and carrying drugs.
German Bosque is likely one of the worst repeat offenders in Opa-Locka, Florida – and he’s a police officer.
Sgt Bosque, 48, who joined the force in 1993, has been arrested and jailed three times.
He has been disciplined, suspended, fined and sent home on full pay more than any other officer operating in the state.

He has been accused of beating and stealing from suspects, ignoring direct orders and writing out false police reports, including one in which he hit himself to make an alleged fight appear genuine.
Bosque has been found driving with a suspended licence, with counterfeit money, and in possession of cocaine and crack pipes in his car. Girlfriends allege he has been violent.
Yet Bosque, who lives with his fiancée in North Miami, still manages to keep his job in one of the most notorious police departments in the state.
He has been sacked at least six times but each time he is reinstated. He is currently suspended pending an investigation into misconduct and is still reportedly picking up his $60,000-a-year pay cheque.
The Opa-Locka department has been the subject of multiple state and federal public corruption probes and a host of civil suits. Last year there were 41 internal investigations – the force only has 68 officers.
Sqt Bosque believes the campaign to get him permanently fired is a ‘witch- hunt’ and that the excessive force he used in some cases was necessary for his own and others safety.

Kicked out of Miami-Dade police academy just two weeks before graduating for impersonating a police officer with shop-bought badge.
1992
Bosque hired in Florida City, after department is desperate for police in wake of Hurricane Andrew.
1994
Hired by Opa-Locka police department after being asked to leave Florida City due to tainted record.
1998
Suspended twice this year for unauthorised police pursuits.
May – Bosque calls in sick but is fact on holiday in Cancún.
2000
March – Bosque is fired after a high-speed police pursuit but is reinstated in June.
December – Bosque fired in connection with an incident in which he assaulted a 16-year-old boy.
2001
February – Bosque is rehired.
May – Bosque’s girlfriend reports he hit her in the face and then slapped his own face and told police she had battered him. After finding he had lied investigators recommended he be fired but he was disciplined.
2004 January – Bosque suspended for 45 days after beating up a handcuffed suspect.
March – Suspended for 15 days without pay for excessive force, spitting on a suspect and using racial slurs. His police certificate is put on probation.
July – Bosque is accused of sexually assaulting a corrections officer inside his locked police car. Not disciplined after investigators said the woman admitted she had failed to say ‘no’.
October – Carries an undeclared, handgun onto a plane but case was dropped after he claimed girlfriend had packed bag.
2008
February – Several crack pipes and cocaine found in Bosque’s car. He is not prosecuted.
June – Bosque fired by Opa-locka’s city manager but is reinstated in July with back pay after the FOP files a grievance.
August – Bosque is sacked again in connection with the drugs incident but is reinstated in November.
2011
January – Promoted to sergeant
2012
May – Suspended with pay for allowing a newspaper reporter to shadow him without permission.
He admits that as a rookie officer he made some mistakes, but insists he is good and hardworking.
He told the Miami Herald: ‘Back then I was a big hot dog. I was catching bad guys, getting commendations while all the other guys were lazy.’
He added: ‘I love being a policeman. I love looking in the mirror and the person I see,’ before adding: ‘I’m against police brutality.’
On his Facebook profile Bosque concedes: ‘I’m conceited about only one thing in life, and that is that I’m an excellent Police Officer.’
Before he set foot in Opa-Locka, Bosque was kicked out of two police academies and two police departments.

Yet he is somehow always reinstated and is said to brag about his ability to play the system and exploit loop holes.
Even his police chief Cheryl Cason says Bosque ‘is a time bomb that has now exploded’.
The Florida Department of Law, which reviews police misconduct, has repeatedly declined to kick Bosque out of the force for good. The department is not allowed to consider an officer’s misconduct history when ruling on a specific case.
Retired North Miami Police Major, Bob Lynch, told the Herald: ‘If a police chief doesn’t have the power to fire them he or she is helpless.
‘It comes down to whoever has the final say, whether it’s the human resources director or the mayor. Plenty of police chiefs try to fire nasty cops and get stuck right back with them.’

One of the cases Bosque was disciplined for was for punching a 16-year-old in the face three times after police were called by the boy’s mother after the pair had a row.
A fellow officer said he witnessed Bosque takte the teenager into another room and assault him, saying: ‘I am the law, if I feel like right not I can f*** you up and no one will say nothing to me.’
Bosque admitted hitting the boy but the state attorney did not prosecute Bosque.
The police officer said the boy was ‘trash, he had gold grills in his teeth. The kid is like a thug.’
Bosque was initially sacked after the incident but then re-hired. The boy’s mother said Bosque did the right thing and even testified on his behalf.

Ex-Female Prisoner Allegedly Chained During Labor, Re-Shackled 10 Minutes After Giving Birth
After Valerie Nabors, a former Nevada Department of Corrections inmate, gave birth to her fourth child, she says she was forced to wear shackles ten minutes later, ABC News reports.

Nabors also claims that her ankles were chained during labor, an illegal act in Nevada. The only time an inmate can be shackled during labor is she can potentially cause harm to herself or is a flight risk.

African student brutally attacked in Punjab, India – 3 months in coma: Superintendent of Police’s son arrested

Jalandhar/New Delhi: Beaten mercilessly in Punjab, an African student has been lying in coma for three months. The incident has put a question mark on India‘s track record of dealing with African students.
However, reacting to the incident, the envoy of Burundi has said that it is a criminal case and not a racist attack.
Yannik, a 23-year-old boy from Burundi was a student of the Lovely University in Punjab. He was beaten up severely by a group of boys on April 21, following which has been in a state of come in a Jalandhar hospital.
The trauma of the victim’s father has been made worse by the official indifference to his son’s plight. He has written two letters to Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal seeking financial and emotional support, but they have gone unanswered.
He has also written to the Ministry of External Affairs for help. The ministry, reacting to the media reports, said on Friday that they were in touch with the authorities.
The ministry said, “We have received a letter from the boy’s father and have taken note of it. We are in touch with the Burundi mission. We are also in touch with the Punjab government and the RPO in Punjab.”
Meanwhile, though two people have been arrested for assaulting Yannik, his father says there are others who are still free.
However, in what comes as a relief for India in the incident, Burundi envoy Rubuka Aloys has said that it does not appear to be a racist attack, and can happen anywhere.
“It is not a racists attack till the police say it is a racist attack. To me, it is a criminal case. It can happen everywhere…I hope justice will be done,” said the envoy.
He, however, added that the victim’s father needs legal and financial assistance from the government.
“We don’t know what the Punjab government is doing. We have to analyse what the Indian government is doing…the main duty of the government is to bring justice,” said Aloys.

Alabama pastors conference invites only ‘white Christians’
A group of pastors in Alabama says that they are not racist even though only “white Christians” were invited to their three-day conference, which will include a cross burning and be attended by Ku Klux Klan (KKK) members.
Residents in Guin, Alabama became outraged earlier this week after they noticed flyers posted around the town that read, “Annual Pastors Conference All White Christians Invited.” The groups Christian Identity Ministries and the Church of God’s Chosen told WIAT that they just didn’t have the “facilities” to accommodate non-whites.
“We’re seldom ever have been invited to black Muslim events and we never have been invited to NAACP events and we never have been invited to join Jewish synagogues events and stuff,” Christian Identity Ministries Pastor William J. Collier explained.
“It has nothing whatsoever to do with any kind of racism or hate or anything like that,” he added. “And anybody who would brand it as that would be a racist and a hater themselves, you know.”
Collier insisted that the “Sacred Christian Cross Lighting Ceremony” to be held on final day of the event symbolized an “opposition to tyranny.”
“We are not burning a cross, look at the word is says it says light a cross,” Christian Identity Ministries Reverend Mel Lewis told WIAT. “If you light a light in your house do you burn down your house. We often use fire. Our ancient fathers said fire was a cleansing element. Even the Bible says the earth will be purified with fire what purer element can we use as a symbol of our worship.”
But the president of the NAACP’s Birmingham Metro Chapter could not recall any past cross burning that had not been associated with racism or hate.
“The only context that I’m familiar with is one that is not very positive,” Hezekiah Jackson said. “And one that really symbolizes an era that many of us have hoped to put behind us. And that is this whole era of Jim Crow, this whole era of white supremacy, this whole era of discrimination and racial hatred.”
“I think it’s really hard to clarify what’s going on, but it seems to be some vestiges of what we call white supremacy here in Alabama. We just have to be honest about it.”
The “Annual Pastors Conference All White Christians Invited” event ends on Friday. It is the fourth year that the whites-only conference has been held in Lamar county.

racists face pub choice nightmare amidst Eurojubilympics bunting mayhem
Racists up and down the country are wasting valuable drinking time, wandering in and out of multi-racial pubs, confused by the mainstream use of patriotic bunting in Britain’s high streets, says a recent report.
Carshalton painter and decorator, Tony Emery, who dislikes non-whites, lamented a futile 30 minute drive around neighbouring Mitcham in search of a bar in which he could be flagrantly racist. “The flags usually keep the darkies away, but the first place I went into was like a fucking Benetton advert. All sorts in there. I didn’t think Muslims were allowed in pubs.”
The skin-headed, muscular Emery eventually decided to abandon his plans for an afternoon of jingoistic bigotry to go cruising around Soho “where the flags don’t lie”.

three Sussex police face complaints over racism
Sussex Police officers are under investigation after allegatioins of racists behaviour
Three Sussex Policeofficers are being investigated for alleged racist behaviour.
Members of the public have put in complaints against the officers over three separate and unconnected incidents.
The incidents are said to have taken place while the officers were on duty, with people claiming they were discriminated against by police because of their race.
A force spokesman said they related to “operational incidents”.
He could not elaborate on whether the incidents are alleged to have happened while officers were arresting people.
A fourth officer is being investigated for homophobic behaviour.
And a fifth officer is being investigated for religious/faith discrimination.
This allegation is the only one that is being considered outside of Sussex Police’s remit.
While the first four allegations are being investigated internally by officers from the force’s professional standards unit, the religious discrimination allegation is being examined by the police watchdog, the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC).

This is because the complainant has appealed against the outcome of Sussex Police’s internal investigation into the incident.
A force spokesman said: “The one that is currently with the IPCC is standard procedure when a complainant appeals against the outcome of a complaint investigation.
“The IPCC then look at the investigation to see if they agree with the outcome.
“We take all allegations of discriminatory behaviour very seriously and will thoroughly investigate all such allegations.”

South African writer shocked by anti-Mandela racist vitriol

A South African writer living in America was shocked at the outpouring of racist vitriol after she posted about Nelson Mandela on an ex-pat Facebook page.
Charlene Smith, author of Mandela: In Celebration of a Great Life, posted about the success of the book on the Safri-Kiwi page last week, which serves readers in New Zealand.
An updated version of the book, originally published in August 1999, was released this month. “Going into 2nd printing within 18 days of launch. It shows how much the world values our Madiba,” she wrote. Her post was met with a flood of racist and anti-SA sentiments. The comments included:
* “The agreement signed by Mandela is that all the whites will be wiped out once Mandela dies. Seems they can’t wait.”
* “Clearly your eyes were closed when you spewed your accolades to St Mandela. It’s the only possible way you could have overcome your nausea.”
* “This site consist (sic) of people that left their country because they couldn’t live in a place where their families got murdered and raped and now you want to come and advertise a book about the father of terror in SA.”
* “I still don’t know why people think so heavenly about Mandela please remove the picture it’s making me nautious (sic).”
The posts have since been deleted.
Smith, who has lived in the US for nearly two years, was then contacted by Ronel Kleynhans, administrator of the Safri-Kiwi page. “I will be removing your post about Mandela. This is because we do not tolerate any post that flair (sic) up any racist remarks. This group is for the purpose of supporting people from SA living in New Zealand.” She was asked not to post related remarks in future.
Kleynhans did not respond to a request for comment.
Smith told the Cape Times that she had expected people to be overjoyed by any good news about Mandela.
“As a South African living abroad one is always thrilled to hear a South African accent… But when we encounter people like this it is really dispiriting, it makes you feel as though you want to disengage completely from South Africans. I’m not interested in those who discriminate regardless of their race group. They shame the nation and themselves.”
She had “foolishly somehow thought people were past this”.
* Smith was raped and stabbed in her Johannesburg home in 1999 and later published an account of her ordeal. In 2004, she wrote an article about the prevalence of rape in SA, earning a stinging personal criticism from then president Thabo Mbeki.
