A Latimer man has pleaded not guilty in Franklin County District Court to 12 charges including second-degree sexual abuse and bestiality.
David Allen Baugh, 34, has been charged with six counts of second-degree sexual abuse, a Class B felony; one count of bestiality, an aggravated misdemeanor; two counts of lascivious acts with a child-fondling or touching, a Class C felony; and three counts of dissemination/exhibiting obscene material to a minor, a serious misdemeanor, according to online court records.
The charges were a result of an investigation by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department.
A written arraignment was filed on Baugh’s behalf Thursday.
A pre-trial conference is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Nov. 29 in Franklin County District Court in Hampton. No trial date has been set.
Second-degree sexual abuse involves a minor under the age of 12, according to the Iowa Code.
Baugh was arrested Sept. 6 after the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department executed search warrants at two locations.
