The C.O.W.S. Compensatory Call-In: Saturday, December 31st 9:00PM Eastern/ 6:00PM Pacific – BLACK TALK RADIO NETWORK™

The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly Compensatory Call-In. We encourage non-white listeners to dial in with their codified concepts, new terms, observations, research findings, workplace problems or triumphs, and/or suggestions on how best to Replace White Supremacy With Justice ASAP. We’ll use these sessions to hone our use of words as tools to reveal truth, neutralize White people. We’ll examine news reports from the past seven days and – hopefully – promote a constructive dialog.

Mercifully, 2016 comes to a close. Gus T. Renegade predicted this would be an atrocious 12 months on the plantation. The passing of Dr. Afeni Shakur, Gwen Ifill, Natalie Cole, Muhammad Ali, Prince, George Curry, Phife Dawg, Dr. Delbert Blair, Maurice White, Dr. Frances Cress Welsing and numerous others made for a year of devastating loss. However, White Supremacists don’t pause for bereavement or Christmas. In fact, a White EMT worker, Steve Sampson, used the holiday season to concoct a lie about black thugs looting his Christmas gifts. He was eventually arrested for making a false report. And when Whites weren’t lying, they put in overtime to get black people in the theaters this holiday. Denzel Washington, Taraji P. Henson, Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer commandeered the silver screen with August Wilson’s Fences and Hidden Figures – based on black female geniuses who worked for NASA and helped Whites invade space. Both features explicitly address Racism. But, the constructive value of both projects is debatable. Fences delivers a mighty heaping of black disfunction, while Hidden Figures glorifies helping Whitefolks – with some of the very cast from the 2011 hit,The Help.

Summer Solstice 2014 is the 50 year anniversary of the Freedom Summer murders of James Chaney and two White males. Students of history will remember to tie this act of White Terrorism to former President Ronald Reagan. While Whites offer mawkish prattle about the progress of “race relations” over the past half century, New York City has reportedly agreed to a $40 million settlement with the wrongfully convicted Victims of the Central Park Five case. Students of history will remember Donald Trump’s conduct in this disgusting, Racist episode. Global attention remains fixed on the World Cup festivities in Brazil – Racism has remained a central theme through the contest; Ellen DeGeneres, Delta Airlines, and spectators from around the world have been lambasted for Racist conduct.

Walmart and Forever21 Truckers Strike in Los Angeles – COLORLINES

Walmart_090513-thumb-640xauto-9050

It’s not just Walmart’s in-store workers who are demanding better pay. Up and down the Walmart supply chain workers are fighting back. Today, truck drivers who transport goods from the Port of Los Angeles to the Costco, Forever 21 and the retail behemoth’s stores are staging a surprise strike.

Truck driver Jose Galindo told Salon’s Josh Eidelson he’s considered an independent contractor, which is a convenient classification which forces him to foot the cost for even work basics and allows his employers to pay him less:

“Like employees, they tell us where to go – we can’t negotiate on many things,” said Galindo. But “we pay for gas, tires, maintenance” out of pocket, “even though the truck is not ours.” Lacking minimum-wage protection, he added, “Sometimes I can be stuck at the ports for three or four hours” waiting in line, “and the company doesn’t pay us for the time.” Galindo told Salon that after he ripped a shoulder tendon while working on the landing gears of his truck, his disability payments were cut off early because the company told the government he was a contractor.

Walmart truck drivers, warehouse workers, and store workers have been organizing very public actions the last two years, including strikes, protests and civil disobedience to demand better wages and an end to the worker retaliation which has followed those who speak out. More are planned as the holiday shopping season heats up.

Judge Releases 2nd LAX Dry Ice Bomb Suspect « CBS Los Angeles

dicarlo-bennett1
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A man charged in connection with dry ice bomb explosions at Los Angeles International Airport was ordered released Monday on his own recognizance.

DiCarlo Bennett, 28, of Paramount, was released Monday after Los Angeles Superior Court Judge James R. Dabney determined he would not have to post bail.

His co-defendant, Miguel Angel Iniguez, 41, of Inglewood, was freed from custody six days after being arrested in October.

Bennett was charged with two felony counts of possession of a destructive device in a public place, while Iniguez, his supervisor, was charged of one felony count of possession of a destructive device near a plane.
As a ramp supervisor, Bennett allegedly placed two dry ice bombs near LAX terminals on Oct. 13. One exploded in an employee restroom in Terminal 2 and the second, which didn’t detonate, was placed outside the Tom Bradley International Terminal.

Airport operations were disrupted by the explosions, but no one was injured.

Police allege Bennett planted the devices as a prank and because he was curious to see what would happen.

Iniguez allegedly made a third explosive device that detonated outside the Tom Bradley terminal, which caused no injuries.

Both men are scheduled to be back in court on Dec. 10, when a date will be set for a hearing to determine whether there is sufficient evidence for them to stand trial.
