Part 1: Newly Discovered 1964 MLK Speech on Civil Rights, Segregation & Apartheid South Africa – YouTube

In a Democracy Now! and Pacifica Radio Archives exclusive, we air a newly discovered recording of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. On December 7, 1964, days before he received the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo, King gave a major address in London on segregation, the fight for civil rights and his support for Nelson Mandela and the anti-apartheid struggle in South Africa. The speech was recorded by Saul Bernstein, who was working as the European correspondent for Pacifica Radio. Bernstein’s recording was recently discovered by Brian DeShazor, director of the Pacifica Radio Archives.

The C.O.W.S. | LONG WALK TO FREEDOM study session Part XVI: Friday, March 28th 8:00PM Eastern/ 5:00PM Pacific on Black Talk Radio Network™

The Context of White Supremacy hosts the sixteenth study session on former South African President Nelson Mandela’s autobiography, Long Walk To Freedom (1994). Gus believes this has been an opportunity for Victims of Racism to learn more about the region of South Africa and the business operations of White Terrorism in this location during the 20th century. Last week’s broadcast detailed the reign of P. W. Botha, whom worked to manipulate Madiba to make South Africa appear less Racist. We heard additional incidents of the ongoing terrorism that Winnie Mandela endured during Madiba’s incarceration. As black South Africans actively opposed the Terrorist regime, White’s coordinated globally to manage the cost of doing business (practicing Racism). We also heard ongoing – unsubstantiated – accusations that Madiba and other freedom fighters were “communists” and that this constituted an infraction or a potential threat to Whites. This week’s segment explores the State Presidency of F. W. de Klerk. He’s attributed with working diligently to dismantle many aspects of the Apartheid regime – including opening beaches and public facilities to black people. He received the 1992 Nobel Peace Prize for allegedly abolishing Apartheid. Pay particular attention to the terms used to describe de Klerk as well as the genesis of a “racial democracy” in South Africa.

The Context of White Supremacy hosts the fifteenth study session on former South African President Nelson Mandela’s autobiography, Long Walk To Freedom (1994). Gus believes this has been an opportunity for Victims of Racism to learn more about the region of South Africa and the business operations of White Terrorism in this location during the 20th century. Last week’s installment saw an influx of young, impatient Africans who were highly motivated to confront White people. White prison officials attempted to use Madiba and other Africans to manage these “fresh” black captives; however, Madiba skillfully worked to minimize conflict between non-white prisoners and declined overtures to exit Robben Island for nicer amenities in return for cooperating with the Apartheid regime. Ultimately, Madiba and many of the other inmates were transferred from Robben Island so as not influence younger black prisoners. This segment focuses on former Prime Minister and first Executive State President P. W. Botha and his efforts to coerce Madiba. We’ll unfortunately hear about more “well-meaning”, “progressive” Whites. Ruth First who is one such White person who was killed by a letter bomb because of her alleged efforts against Racism. Her assassin was a White man; Craig Williams. Very important to note that this is the second White person in this book who has been killed by another White person because of their perceived lack of dedication to the Religion of White Supremacy.

The Context of White Supremacy hosts the fourteenth study session on former South African President Nelson Mandela’s autobiography, Long Walk To Freedom (1994). Gus believes this has been an opportunity for Victims of Racism to learn more about the region of South Africa and the business operations of White Terrorism in this location during the 20th century. Last week’s segment offered continued evidence of the White barbarism Madiba and Winnie were subjected to. White jailers obstructed visitation and refused to permit Madiba to attend the funerals of his mother and son. Whites disallowed compassionate contact and constructive reading material, Racists routinely organized time for White Jesus/Christianity. They also encouraged other incarcerated Africans to brutalize Madiba and other political prisoners. This week we’ll get more information about Madiba and other inmate’s imprisonment during the 1970′s. Younger black people continued the effort to end apartheid, and they lacked the cooperation and patience with Whites that Madiba encouraged.

The Context of White Supremacy hosts the twelfth study session on former South African President Nelson Mandela’s autobiography, Long Walk To Freedom (1994). Gus hopes this will be an opportunity for Victims of Racism to learn more about the region of South Africa and the business operations of White Terrorism in this location during the 20th century. Last week’s segment provided details on the legendary Rivonia trial and the conviction of Madiba and his co-defendants. They were carted off to prison where Racist guards urinated on them, they were forced to break rocks, and physically and spiritually malnourished. White Afriakners terrorized Winnie Mandela’s place of employment and ultimately terminated her. This week, we’ll continue to follow Madiba’s incarceration during what he terms “The Dark Years”, and the global response to the White reign of terror in South Africa. As resistance to Racism increased globally during the 1960′s, increasing numbers of black people outside of South Africa began to identify with Madiba and oppose Apartheid.
