Canadian Forces member accused of soliciting partner for bestiality

WINNIPEG – A 31-year-old member of Canadian Forces Base Shilo is accused of soliciting a woman to join him in acts of bestiality.

Brandon RCMP say they received a complaint on Sept. 10. The police allege the solicitation occurred on a dating website. The complaint led to a search warrant that was executed at a man’s home near Brandon, which is located about 215 km west of Winnipeg.

Mounties seized computers and arrested the suspect.

He’s charged with bestiality, and procuring and circulating obscene matter. The suspect was released with conditions on a promise to appear in court.

RCMP say he won’t be identified to protect the victim.

The trial of Steven Schindler, 50, was to have started Wednesday in Hancock County District Court in Garner.

Schindler is facing one count of bestiality, an aggravated misdemeanor.

Schindler entered a written plea of not guilty in March.

white male jailed for bestiality probation violation

Peter Bower, 32 of Shelby, Ohio remains in the Crawford County Jail without bond after authorities arrested him on Friday for violating probation when a woman called the Shelby Police Department about an online advertisement Bower placed offering dog sitting services. Bower was convicted of animal cruelty last year for having sexual relations with his dog. There are no bestiality laws in Ohio.

Shelby Police Chief Charlie Roub obtained a search warrant for Bower’s apartment where Bower was arrested without incident.

Bower had posted an online advertisement at www.sittercity.com offering dog sitting services under “At a Glance” section stating:

“I love animals, especially dogs and horses. I recently lost my two German Shepherds of six years, and miss their presence and daily routine greatly…”

His last dog Aurora, a three-year-old Shepherd mix who Bower had adopted from the Richland County Humane Society had been sexually abused. Bower had also been a volunteer at the rescue.

When authorities investigated Bower’s apartment they confiscated bestiality books, plastic signs stating “Pets Welcome,” and a blow-up sheep. Photographs of dogs and horses had also been posted by Bower on various bestiality websites.

According to the Mansfield News Journal.com, Richland’s County Dog Warden, Dave Jordan was not surprised at Bower’s arrest stating this kind of action is likely repeated by offenders.

Ann Church, Senior Director of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Government Relations worked with humane advocates and the State of Florida to unanimously pass a law against bestiality last year. Church states there is a serious correlation between animal sexual abuse and violent crimes. If you live in Ohio, contact your elected representative to pass House Bill 289 making bestiality illegal in Ohio. Speak for those who cannot speak for themselves.

bestiality: PETA Launches a Dirty Website for More “Animalistic” Desires

The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has decided that it wants to go into the dirty movie industry.  Using famous erotic film star, Ron Jeremy, PETA has launched a new website that focuses on more “animalistic” desires.   The start of the site has Jeremy appearing with Sasha Grey, who isn’t wearing much more than she would if she were an animal in the woods.

PETA attempts to argue on the site that it is out to fight ”wealthy industries and corporations.”

They then go on to say:  ”Typically, our racier ads, protests, and stunts seem to get the most attention, often reaching millions of people, but that’s certainly not all we do.”

PETA explains its motives further:

“We live in a 24 hour news cycle world and we learn the racy things we do are sometimes the most effective way that we can reach particular individuals,” said PETA spokeswoman Lindsay Rajt.

“We really want to grab people’s attention, get them talking and to question the status quo and ultimately take action, because the best way we can help the greatest number of animals is simply by not eating them.”

The group plans to give you enough porn to satisfy the requirements of a .xxx website, but they will also slide in a graphic image of an animal every now and then as well.

“There will be a lot of girl and boy next door content, but we haven’t ruled out celebrities on the site as well,” said Rajt. “People who are extraordinarily dedicated to helping animals and who are willing to do whatever it takes to draw attention to the suffering they endure.”

The group in the past has received criticism for comparing animal rights to slavery.

white male dog rapist found with life-sized inflatable sheep

Peter Bower

Update III:

The theme of this morning’s blog posts: Ohio is really f&*king strange, and without a doubt, winning the “Ohio or Florida?” game this week.

Our next stop: Shelby.

If you don’t remember Peter Bower, he’s the mid-Ohio fella who was recently in the news because of his love of having sex with dogs. Bower even wrote a love letter to one canine named Maggie. Yup. As if it couldn’t get worse, Bower also fornicated with an inflatable sheep.

Bower admitted to the zoophilia, but Ohio has no law against bestiality, so the full power of the law was pretty powerless to do anything. The best they could do was animal cruelty charges, but authorities couldn’t even get those to stick. 10 TV explains:

In order to prove animal cruelty, prosecutors had to prove that the animals were injured because of the sexual contact Bower had with them.

“The prosecutor moved to dismiss several charges that he felt he could not prove due to the fact that he could not show the actual harm to the animal,” Shelby Municipal Court Judge Jon Schaefer said.

Schaefer said both sides agreed to a plea deal. In exchange for a “no contest” plea to charge of injuring animals, Bowers was sentenced to community service, mandatory counseling and was banned from owning animals again.

Sure, that’ll stop him.

Update: The horror, the horror.

It seems like word of pet pederast Peter Bower has ruffled influential feelings to the point of legislative action. The Mansfield News Journal says state Rep. Jay Goyal is working on a new bill that would make bestiality a felony in Ohio (it is in 30 states, but not here). Bower’s case is the spark driving Goyal’s effort. No word on whether that legislation will include anything about inflatable sheep.

Wait up: one more detail, this revealed for the first time in the News Journal piece: after Bower got his hands on the his latest victim, a Shepard mix he picked up from the shelter this May, he was tooling around town with a “Just Married” sign on his car. Yeah, pretty effed up.

*****

—What the hell is this?

—Oh you mean the inflatable sheep, officer? No, that’s just, no, nothing I mean sheep you know Easter decorations and all. Yeah, Easter. I’m a big Easter guy.

Having a life-sized inflatable barnyard animal lying around your house is suspicious enough as is, but when the offending fake sheep is found at the home of a suspected doggy sex fiend, now we’re cooking with some real perversion.

Courtesy of our friends over at True Crime Report, this is the story of Mansfield’s finest, Peter Bower. It’s like the Manson Murders of animal sex stories — some next level shit.

31-year-old Bower was a regular fixture among the four-legged lovers of mid-Ohio; he offered his services to the community as a dog walker and babysitter. Unfortunately, his proclivities went way beyond see spot run.

Police fielded a tip recently that Bower’s relations with a recently adopted shepherd mix were less than kosher. With search warrant in hand, authorities searched his Mansfield spread and located the gross tools of Bower’s puppy sex trade, including lots of animal porn and that life-sized inflatable sheep.

Not only does the evidence show Bower was anally abusing his current pet, but authorities believe he fornicated with two now-dead dogs as well. He also might have thrown in relations with a horse for good measure, just to cover all the bases.

He’s been charged with animal cruelty, injuring an animal and companion animal prohibition.
